Sellers whose MyDeal store was previously integrated with Maropost Commerce Cloud will need to follow the steps below to update their store to the MyDeal Maropost Commerce Cloud App.
These steps are only applicable to sellers moving from the old Maropost Commerce Cloud integration to the MyDeal App
Important Notes:
- Please be aware that when you install the MyDeal Maropost Commerce Cloud App all of your products will be automatically discontinued until you complete setup on the App (instructions below). Therefore it is recommended that you make the transition outside of peak business hours to avoid loss of sales.
- Once the App has been installed we will no longer receive tracking details for any orders sent to your Maropost Commerce Cloud account prior to you installing the app. Therefore, you must update the tracking information of these pending orders manually via the Seller Portal. See instructions here > View Pending Orders
- If your store is integrated with the Maropost Commerce Cloud Shipping Calculator, then ensure that you do not remove or disable the MyDeal API User in your Maropost Commerce Cloud Account as this is still required for the shipping calculator to work in MyDeal.
To update your store integration to the Maropost Commerce Cloud App:
1) In your Maropost Commerce Cloud Control Panel, select the Addons menu
2) Locate the MyDeal Addon in the Sales Channels section, and click the Install button
3) Go to MyDeal App and configure your Sync Settings. Please find the detailed instructions HERE and watch the Setup Video below
- Under 'Connection Details' section, input your existing 'Seller Id' and 'Seller Token' (please request these details from your MyDeal Account Manager if unknown)
- Under 'Shipping Cost Arrangement' subsection of the Product Settings, input your existing 'Freight Scheme ID' (this refers to your existing freight calculator ID which has been created on MyDeal. Please request this value from your MyDeal Account Manager if unknown)
NOTE: If you have integrated your Maropost Commerce Cloud Shipping Calculator on MyDeal, then apply the following settings under 'Shipping Cost Arrangement' in the MyDeal App.
- Set 'Default Shipping Category' = 2
- Set 'Default Freight Scheme ID' = 190 (this refers to the default ID for Maropost Commerce Cloud Shipping Calculator on MyDeal)
- Set 'Default Maropost Commerce Cloud Shipping Category' as blank
4) Re-publish your Maropost Commerce Cloud products to MyDeal
- Only products which are 'Active' AND 'Approved to show on MyDeal' will be reactivated on MyDeal
- Each Maropost Commerce Cloud product you want to reactivate on MyDeal must be assigned to a MyDeal Category (this also includes new product)
- Depending on your preferred MyDeal Categorisation Method, there are 2 approaches you can follow to re-publish your products on MyDeal
Option A) If you plan to map your Maropost Commerce Cloud Categories to MyDeal Categories
- Approve your products in Maropost Commerce Cloud to show on MyDeal. Learn how here
- Once your Maropost Commerce Cloud products are synced to the MyDeal App, navigate to the 'Product Sync' section in the MyDeal App and click the 'Mappings' tab
- For each Maropost Commerce Cloud Category, click 'Select Category Mapping' and type the relevant keywords to find the most appropriate MyDeal Category to map. Alternatively, you can also click the Category Tree Icon to map each Maropost Commerce Cloud Category to a MyDeal Category
- Wait for the mapping to finish until you see a green tick icon
- Repeat the process for all other Maropost Commerce Cloud Categories
Option B) If you plan to assign each Maropost Commerce Cloud product with a MyDeal CategoryID via Custom Product Field
- Create a Custom Product Field to assign a MyDeal CategoryID to each product
- Use the Maropost Commerce Cloud Import/Export wizard to bulk update your products with the most appropriate MyDeal CategoryID
- Approve your products in Maropost Commerce Cloud to show on MyDeal. Learn how here
* Tips:
- You can use this wizard to do Steps 2 & 3 above altogether, or separately
- You can also use this wizard to bulk update other Custom Product Fields you have mapped in your MyDeal App settings
- Remove any other fields in your import file to ensure other data isn't overwritten and to speed up the import process.
