ATL or Authority To Leave is an option where customers can allow permission for the courier or shipping agent to leave their parcel in a safe place without obtaining a signature upon delivery.
Sellers are able to offer customers the option of ATL (Authority To Leave) as long as the terms and conditions of ATL are clearly communicated to the customer and comply with Australian Consumer Law. Suppliers can communicate this to the customer by one of the following methods:
- Stating ATL terms on deal pages: This is required if a seller intends to deliver products with ATL.
- Contacting the customer directly via the Marketplace Portal. This is done on a per order basis.
Please Note: If a customer's order goes missing due to ATL that the seller requested, they are liable to replace or refund if they cannot locate that item.
