As a marketplace, we facilitate transactions between customers and sellers of all shapes and sizes. As such, we have no hard and fast rules regarding the format of your listings. However, we do ask that your listings are respectful and professional. All listings should meet the following requirements:
Language:
To make sure MyDeal is accessible and inclusive to all, please ensure to provide professional quality listings that are respectful to all.
1. Deal Title (Max 200 characters):
Deal title should be concise, clear and meaningful. It should provide a general idea of what product is being advertised in the listing.
Things to include in the Deal Title:
- Number of items (if listing includes more than one item - 2x, 4x, 6 piece, pack of 2)
- Brand Name (Samsung, Apple, Kambrook, Nike, Calvin Klein)
- Product Type (Bed Frame, Mattress, Heater, Jacket, Gaming Mouse)
- Material (Solid Wood, MDF, Metal, Stainless Steel, Plastic, Polyester, Genuine Leather, PU Leather)
- Condition (if not new - Refurbished, Used, Demo, Display)
- Colour (Matte Black, Glossy White, Yellow, Brown)
- Worded Size (Large, Small, Tall)
- Worded Specs / Measurements (15inches, 65cc, 6ft)
Things to exclude in the Deal Title:
- Duplicate keywords
- Abbreviated words (WH for white, w/ for with, BLK for black)
- Promotional words (Buy, Deal, Discount, Sale, Offer)
- Special characters / symbols (!, @, $, %, ^, *, ", ', °, ±)
2. Description (Max 15,000 characters with HTML coding)
Descriptions should at a minimum be 1-2 sentences long to ensure that customers are fully informed of what they are buying.
Things to include in the Product's Contents:
- Key Product Features (Colour, Material, etc.)
- Package Contents (list everything that is included in the listing)
- Product Dimensions / Sizes (for each item that is included in the listing)
- Assembly Type: Requires Assembly / Comes Assembled (if applicable)
- Special Delivery Notes
- Warranty Terms and Period
Things to exclude in the Product's Contents:
- Supplier’s contact number
- Supplier’s email address
- Pick up options
- Assembly options
- Supplier’s showroom
- Supplier’s physical store address
- Supplier’s website URL
- Deals specific to supplier's website (i.e. Discounts, 2 for 1 specials, etc.)
- Promotional images
- Personalisations/engraving/extra requests to add in into existing orders
- International shipping
- Supplier’s membership offers
- Links to other products/categories/areas of supplier's website
- Supplier's eBay table layout/payment options/condition/returns, etc.
- Discount/coupon codes specific to their supplier's website
- Add-ons
- Bundle deals
- Pre-order information
- References to external links/URLs
- References to other marketplaces
- AfterPay/ZipPay/Pay Later and other affiliate images
3. Image Requirements (Max 30 Images)
We allow up to 30 images per listing. The first image will be used as the listing's main image and thumbnail. Ideally all main images should be a photo of the product with a white background, no watermarks, artificial text or advertising of any kind. Please refer to our full image requirements below.
- Provide high quality images - not blurry images
- At least 450x450 pixels
- Use a white background
- No artificial text
- No watermarks
- No logos or icons
- Don't use a generic / graphic / illustration / cartoon image
- Don't use a placeholder image
- Don't include borders around your image
- Don't include any product that is not a part of the listing in the image
Variant Images - When applicable we also recommend providing images for each variant option so when customers select a variant the relevant variant product image is brought up on the product page to reconfirm the appearance of their selection.
