Storewide Coupon Promotions

Storewide coupons increase visibility, engagement and conversion rate for your shopfront.

Important Note: If you have pre-arranged a coupon promotion with our marketing team, you must set the coupon up via the MyDeal Marketplace Portal. Our marketing team cannot set up a coupon on your behalf. By proactively setting your coupon up in advance, delays in the arranged marketing can be avoided.


The Seller coupon promotions feature is available to all sellers via the marketplace portal. To set up a coupon for your store, please follow the instructions below:

1.Access the SellerPortal and select the Coupon Promotions feature as shown below.

2.Click Create Coupon button.

3. Specify the Coupon Start and Expiry Date*, Coupon Discount Percentage and if required the Minimum Cart Value in the applicable fields.

4. After filling in the details of your coupon and clicking Save, the coupon will appear on the dashboard with the status set to Pending.

Note: Our system automatically generates codes - custom coupons cannot be made.

5. Having completed the above steps, your coupon will be ready to become active at 12 AM of the specified Start Date.
Upon becoming active, your coupon will be promoted on your shopfront and on your product listings.

Storewide Coupon Rules:
  • Coupon status becomes Active at 12 AM of the specified Start Date.
  • Coupon status becomes Expired*  at 11:59 PM  of the the specified Expiry Date.
  • Cancelling or Editing coupons can only be made on coupons where the status is Pending. 
  • Disabled and Expired coupons are not visible on the coupon dashboard.
  • Sellers are restricted to only having one active/pending coupon at any one time.
  • Coupon duration can only be between 48 hours and 60 days inclusively.
  • Coupons only allow for discount percentages. (%)

    • Minimum Discount Percentage = 10%. This can be increased in increments of 5%.

    • Maximum Discount Percentage = 50%

  • Minimum Cart Value (Optional field) can be between $1 to $100. This value excludes shipping. 
  • Billing Each redeemed coupon discount amount will be automatically debitted from your next MyDeal payment (similar to refund fees). If the customer's order is cancelled or refunded then the applicable coupon amount will also be refunded back to the seller.

Note: For sellers using 3rd party integration services such as Omnivore, ChannelAdvisor, Maropost Cloud Commerce (formerly known as NETO), Comestri, IntelligentReach. please make sure to implement the promotion in the backend as well.

 

Reports:

You can export a report of your credits and debits related to your coupon promotions. Specify the report period via the "From" and "To" date fields and click "Download."
