MyDeal allows sellers to publish products for sale on the marketplace, and it is the sellers responsibility to ensure that their products comply with all relevant laws and regulation, including but not limited to, Australian Consumer Law and mandatory product standards.
One of the regulatory requirements for taps, showers, dishwashers, washing machines, lavatory equipment, urinals and flow controllers is compliance with the WELS Scheme. To assist you to comply with requirements under the WELS Scheme, we provide a summary of the compliance obligations below.
Listing requirements:
Meet the labeling requirements of option 1 or option 2 below (or both).

Option 1:
- WELS registered model name (for all product packaging and in displays when the registration number is not shown)
- WELS registration number (should not be expired, canceled, ceased or suspended)
- WELS star rating (should be exactly as registered in the WELS database)
- Water consumption (output in L/Min)
- Full/Half/Average Flush Rates (wherever applicable, exactly as registered in the WELS database)
Option 2: As an image that displays the following:
- Registered model name
- WELS registration number (should not be expired, canceled, ceased or suspended)
- Image of the water rating label (should be exactly as registered in the WELS database)
- Water Consumption (output in L/Min)
- Full/Half/Average Flush Rates (should be exactly as registered in the WELS database)
Please ensure that you verify and/or update all your relevant product listings on MyDeal to ensure compliance with the WELS Scheme. If any products are found not to be compliant with the WELS Scheme, those products will be disapproved from the marketplace without notice.
