A chargeback is a dispute of a transaction by a consumer, to secure a refund. The credit-card provider requires the retailer to cover the costs on a fraudulent or disputed transaction.
Funds are withdrawn from the merchant's bank account and credited to the consumer's card statement.
1. The customer issues a dispute with their bank stating that the order is fraudulent.
If this happens and the order has not been dispatched, MyDeal will let you know and cancel the order. However, if the order has been dispatched and we accepted the order then MyDeal will wear the loss.
2. The customer issues a dispute with their bank for a customer service related issue (e.g.: non-delivery, parts missing, faulty item).
MyDeal will not be held liable for the outcome decided by the bank.
Should the outcome not be in your favour, MyDeal will attempt to disagree with the claim for our sellers, but if the bank decides that the customer is correct, and we have the funds deducted from our account, the funds will then be deducted from your next payment.
Sellers must be able to provide proof of delivery and shipping, and requests for additional information to MyDeal if requested.
Please note: MyDeal understands that sellers have their own policies, however, when a complaint is lodged with the customer’s financial institution, all sellers must follow the requirements set by the bank.
