If you are unable to deliver to certain locations you can provide a list of postcode exclusions in a CSV file which can be applied to a shipping rate table or freight calculator created in your account.
If a customer tries to calculate shipping on a product with a postcode that you have excluded then the customer will see a message on the product listing page “Delivery not available to this location” and they will not be able to add the item to cart.
Snapshot:
Important things to keep in mind:
- The file must be formatted as CSV UTF-8
- The first row of the CSV must contain the column headings exactly as provided in the template
- Postcode Ranges:
- PostcodeFrom and PostcodeTo values are inclusive, e.g. a postcode range of PostcodeFrom = 3000 to 3006 means that all postcodes within the 3000 to 3006 range inclusive will be excluded
- If you need to exclude individual postcodes then you can input the same postcode in the PostcodeFrom and PostcodeTo fields (e.g. 3000-3000)
- We can accept a maximum of 500 rows of data in the CSV
Steps:
1. In the Seller Portal, click Shipping Settings on the navigation bar, then select "Manage Freight Schemes."
2. Click View/Edit next to the shipping table you would like to upload the postcode exclusion list on.
3. Download the sample template.
- The file contains two columns which are both required. Any other columns included in the file will be ignored.
