MyDeal fetches all product content from the default fields within Shopify and is not able to fetch content from any custom fields. This includes but is not limited to product descriptions, specs and images etc.
Categories are fetched from "product_type" data field.
MyDeal manually maps seller's categories to MyDeal where possible. Products not mapped to a particular category will be launched in our "JUST LAUNCHED" category. Sellers will be required to update these via MyDeal Marketplace Portal. See instructions here.
Sellers can input MyDeal CategoryIDs into the "product_type" data field if they wish.
Note:
- This may affect your own website mapping but will allow for category mapping to occur automatically on MyDeal. Sellers are advised to consult their website provider before taking such action.
- Categories cannot be amended once fetched by MyDeal. To update any existing category mapping, please contact categoryreview@mydeal.com.au with the Deal ID's and category ID's that you would like amended.
Weights are fetched directly from Shopify.
The weight of the first variant SKU available will be fetched and applied to the parent level of any MyDeal variant listing. The MyDeal system is currently limited to only applying weights at the parent of any product and does not recognize weights at a variant level.
Note: Dimensions are not fetched from Shopify. This means that sellers integrated with Shopify are not able to use shipping tables that are based on dimensions.

IMPORTANT >> Shopify can not guarantee that all updates reach MyDeal, so in the event that an update doesn't appear to have been processed, we need sellers to undo and redo the action to trigger the update. Once this has been done, please wait 24 hours for system to run an update.
If you believe a product update/new product update has not been processed, please redo the action in Shopify and wait 24 hours.
